Thunderbird Journal

Thunderbird Journal is published in celebration of each Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice. Through its pages, we share our journey into Light. We publish poetry, short stories, and essays that carry a certain feeling – a feeling of Light. In short, we publish writing, artwork, and photographs that make readers smile.

Have you:
-had a profound spiritual moment you would like to share?
-read a powerful book?
-written a poem (or non-poem, short story, essay) expressing the beauty or joy or laughter of life?
-begun a project you would like to invite others to join?
-visited a place of power or extraordinary beauty?
-captured a cool photograph?

We would love to see your words of insight, inspiration, and/or humor to share with our fellow warriors of Light. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be a writer, you may have something in your private journal worthy of sharing. If you’re feeling shy, you are welcome to publish under a pseudonym – just let us know what name to put as the author.

Thunderbird Journal publishes many first-time authors. Before sending your submission, please rewrite or edit your poem or article at least 3 times. Read each word individually to catch typos. With each revision, you push into higher and clearer levels of awareness. That shine translates on the page, and is revealed to your readers.

We accept submissions year-round. Submissions can be anywhere from 2 words to 2000 words. Longer submissions will not be read. Please submit articles in the text of an email or in a Word document (.docx) or (.doc); artwork and photos must be at least 300dpi. All submissions must be your original work. Please send copies, as originals will not be returned. You may include an author biography up to 100 words, and include information on any books or artwork you would like to promote. Contributors will retain the copyright of their work, and will receive a copy of the issue in which their work appears.

If sending a commentary, please include the title, author, and publication information of the work you are reviewing.

Send submissions to Lynne@DharmaCenter.com

If your artwork or photography is larger than 15MB, please send a copy on a CD or DVD to:
