Retreats

Come Play in the Light!

Retreats are an important component to our practice. Stepping away from the world allows us to gather our strength and let go of old patterns. When we go on a retreat together, the power is amplified by all those who attend, allowing us to reach deeper into Light. Together, we take mystical adventures to places of power where we meditate and learn the secrets mother earth has to share. Sometimes these power trips are for only Dharma Center members, who will receive invitations via email. The retreats posted on this site are available to non-members who have their intentions set on spiritual evolution and enlightenment. To learn more, please contact the retreat leader indicated in the description.

We’ll continue to update this page as new opportunities arise, so be sure to check back often!

Fees for overnight trips often include lodging at either a retreat house or condo complex. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and food. Although some of the retreats are far off, please be mindful of the rsvp deadline, and respond early. To get a great rate at a retreat house or condo complex, we must pay in advance, and spots for the trips often are filled months in advance.

Peace in the Present – Free Meditation Event
The Lodge at Tiburon (Spinnaker Room)
Friday, May 19 at 6pm

UPDATE: This event has been moved from the skydeck to the Spinnaker Room

The Lodge at Tiburon has graciously offered their beautiful space so we can offer a free public one-hour meditation class! Please RSVP to Jenna@DharmaCenter.com so we can give the hotel a headcount for the one-hour meditation event. You are welcome to attend without an rsvp.

A few of us also plan to have dinner at the hotel’s restaurant after the class; we would love to see you there! (Our reservation is for 7:45pm on the outside patio.) To keep things simple, please make your own reservation with the Tiburon Tavern and ask them to seat your party on the patio.

At the end of the meditation, there will be a special option to sign up for the weekend retreat. (see below for details.)

San Francisco Mount Diablo with Isis
May 19 – 22, 2017

We’ll stay at a lovely resort hotel in Marin, so please RSVP as soon as possible as this is a popular time of year in that area. If you would like to share a room, please indicate that in your email so we can try to match you up.

Our retreat will begin with a public meditation on Friday evening at 6pm, followed by dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The weekend adventure to the Bay Area will include a day of walking and seated meditation on the beautiful Mount Diablo and at the pristine Vendanta Society Retreat. On Monday, we’ll stop by the Big Trees at Muir Woods and/or a short hike on Mount Tamalpais before heading to the airport.

Prior meditation experience is recommended for this transformative retreat.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As mountains go, Mount Diablo isn’t particularly tall – only 3,849 feet.  However, it is surrounded by low, rolling hills and broad, flat valleys, so the view from the Summit is remarkable. When conditions are best, you can see almost 200 miles!

The Vedanta Society Retreat in Marin offers 2000 acres of pristine land upon which to walk, meditate, and enjoy the nature beauty and wonder of this earth.

Please RSVP to Isis at: Jenna@DharmaCenter.com

Retreat Fees are non-refundable

Participants are responsible for their own transportation; please indicate in your RSVP if you would like me to share your contact information with others who are securing their own lodging so you can discuss the possibility of carpooling and sharing a hotel.

2016 Fall Equinox Desert Trip!
Borrego Springs with Isis

The retreat house is currently full. We’ll be staying on the north side of Borrego Springs, so I recommend the Palm Canyon Hotel for your lodging. However, there are many other options you can research.

(Once you RSVP, I can put you in contact with others who are finding their own lodging in case you want to explore sharing a room or house and/or a 4WD vehicle.)

Join our Members Retreat to the Anza Borrego Desert, to sit under the stars and the full moon. We’ll plan to relax by the pool during the day, and on Friday and Saturday evenings we will drive out in 4WD vehicles to put some distance between us and the world. Out beneath the stars, we’ll let the Light carry us away into worlds of mystery, magic, and power.

Those of us staying at the house will arrive on Thursday (9/15) for a relaxation day before the official start of the retreat. If you plan to arrive on Friday, please arrive during the mid-afternoon. This will ensure enough time for you to unwind before we head out from the house around sunset on Friday night for our first adventure.
